The Honor Summit:
United in Remembrance of 9/11
Mount Washington, NH • September 9-12, 2026
This September, two pillars of light will rise from the highest peak in the Northeast as a powerful symbol of resilience, gratitude, and unity. Inspired by the dual beams that honor September 11, The Honor Summit pays tribute to the lives lost, the first responders who answered the call, and the veterans whose courage continues to protect our communities.
Bridging the Distance - 25 Years Later
This year marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11, a day that continues to resonate across generations. As time shapes the way we understand this defining moment in American history, The Honor Summit exists to bridge the distance between lived and learned experience. In a year that also marks our nation's 250th anniversary, this moment invites us to consider the values that unite us, to reflect not only on where we've been, but who we choose to be together.
Experience The Honor Summit
From September 9-12, the beams of light will illuminate the sky, four and a half miles above Mount Washington, and will be visible from communities throughout New Hampshire and beyond on clear nights. These four nights present a meaningful opportunity to come together and remember, honor, and reflect.
Renee Plummer
The Honor Summit was created by Renee Plummer of Granite Springs Foundation to ensure that the 25th anniversary of 9/11 is remembered with the visibility and respect it deserves. With support from the State of New Hampshire and partners across the region, the installation offers an experience that belongs to all of us: rooted in gratitude, unity, and collective remembrance.
