Where to View The Honor Summit
Look Up. Remember. Honor.
From September 9–12, 2026 starting at 8 p.m. each day, two powerful beams of light will shine from the summit of Mount Washington, commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11 and honoring the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and those who continue to serve.
You don't need to be on the mountain to experience The Honor Summit. In fact, some of the most powerful views will be from miles away. For the best experience, seek out viewing locations east or west of Mount Washington, where you'll have the greatest opportunity to see the two beams as distinct lights rising into the night sky.
Please do not drive up the Mount Washington Auto Road to view the lights.

We've created an interactive map to help you find places to experience The Honor Summit throughout the region. The map will continue to be updated with scenic overlooks, public spaces and other recommended viewing locations where the lights may be visible.
Visibility will vary based on location, terrain and weather conditions. Please respect posted hours, parking restrictions and property boundaries at all viewing locations.
